Newsletter for August 2020

Hello everyone,
Team Shawnie Advocacy Group has been working continuously on following through with our mission of awareness and information about the Shawnie bill. We wanted first and foremost, to thank all of you for your efforts and support throughout this historic journey and wanted to keep you up to date with what is happening with the Team Shawnie Advocacy Group. Here are our new updates:

Team Shawnie Group website
The Team Shawnie Group website has been live for a few weeks and we have gotten a tremendous response as well as a good amount of traffic visiting the site. If you haven’t visited the site we would invite you to take a moment and please do so. We will continue adding more information to the site as well as more blog stories and articles to keep everyone informed. If any of you or your friends forget how to get to the petition page on Change.org, don’t know how to get to the podcast series or would like to know more about the Shawnie bill then our official webpage frankp60.sg-host.com would be the ideal place to visit.

Change.org Petition
We have collected about 1,300 petition signatures which is a great start, but we still have a long road ahead. Please share the petition link with your friends, family, and co-workers on social media to help us get to our next goal of 2,000 petitions. The link to share for the petition is change.org/shawniebill or you can go to the frankp60.sg-host.com page and sign from there. This petition is perhaps the most important event going on with the Team Shawnie Advocacy Group right now.

Shawnie bill progress
Speaking of the Shawnie bill, there are some talks and meetings currently taking place with some members of the State House and the Halajko family about the Shawnie bill and how to move forward with it. It looks very promising and we will be keeping you up to date as information comes to us. We are now closer than ever to the end goal of this historic journey.

Podcast Series
Our podcast series “The Shawnie Story” has been streaming on platforms such as Anchor.fm, Spotify, Radio Public, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Google Podcasts, and Breaker. We will be publishing the podcast series also on Adori which is a brand new visual podcast platform, this way you can hear the podcast and watch a slideshow of pictures pertaining to the information being narrated. We are very excited about our podcast being streamed at Adori. You can listen to the podcast by going to https://anchor.fm/teamshawnieadvocacygroup or by clicking here.

Social Media
As we gain more followers our mission to spread awareness and information about the Shawnie bill becomes front and center. Instagram is a great platform to connect with other local and national advocacy groups as well as an essential fountain of information for everyone. Best of all, it is free to join.
Therefore, we have opened an Instagram account (for those who prefer Instagram over Facebook) and are inviting you, your family, and coworkers to follow us to keep informed about Team Shawnie events and updates. Our Instagram is https://www.instagram.com/teamshawniegroup.

New Commercial
We know that at first glance it could be somewhat difficult to grasp the concept of what this bill can do if it gets enacted into law, therefore we have been putting together a video that simplifies what the Shawnie bill would do and its impact on families with special needs children and adolescents. Stay tuned for its release.

New Sholi Group Website
On Thursday, August 13th we will be launching a new and improved Sholigroup.com website. This website will be showcasing all of the companies and/or groups that currently are being administered under the Sholigroup LLC company, including the Team Shawnie Group website. Please visit the website which can be found at Sholigroup.com.
